Le locomotive della classe BB27000 sono macchine bicorrente che possono funzionare con alimentazione 25 kV 50 Hz AC oppure 1500 V DC.
Le BB37000 sono la versione tricorrente delle BB2700 e possono funzionare con alimentazione a 1500 V DC, 15000 VAC 16 2/3 Hz e 25000 VAC 50 Hz


Due BB37000 in sosta a Modane: la BB37503 della "Europorte" (http://www.europorte.com/uk/company/europorte/) e la BB37512 della "CB Rail"
