Bern Hill
Bern Hill è un artista, a mio avviso sottovalutato, che ha realizzato 65 dipinti per la General Motors, da utilizzare come pubblicità sulle copertine della rivista Railway Age, tra il 1951 e il 1956.
A differenza di altri illustratori, Hill non si basava su fotografie per le sue realizzazioni, ma lavorava di fantasia con vedute prospettiche a volo d'uccello, dove il treno, di solito, è lontano e in movimento.
Ogni lavoro era dedicato ad una compagnia specifica, che utilizzava locomotive EMD, della serie E o F, in testa ai propri prestigiosi treni passeggeri o anche per il trasporto merci.
Da questi dipinti, la General Motors ha realizzato alcuni manifesti che andrò a pubblicare.
