Düsseldorf, 5 agosto 1938. La BR 18 319 in testa al Basilea-Dortmund (D 307) incrocia la BR 03 259 in testa al Berlino-Colonia (D 8).

Questa sofisticata compound, che richiedeva personale molto esperto, non era molto popolare tra i macchinisti dell'Est.
