- La nuova E 50 020 (Krupp 1957) nella stazione di Laufach il 1 ottobre 1957 in attesa di affrontare, con un convoglio di carri
tramoggia, la “Rampa di Spessart” sulla linea Aschaffenburg-Würzburg pochi giorni dopo l’elettrificazione della stessa,
avvenuta il 29 settembre 1957 -

- E 050 014 (locomotiva di spinta 2) attende nella stazione di Laufach di riprendere servizio sulla "Spessartrampe" -

Le E 50 rimasero per un breve periodo su questa linea, sostituite dalle E 94.2 (dal 1970 diventate BR 194.5).
(Delle ultime 43 locomotive E 94 costruite tra il 1954 e 1956, 24 vennero omologate nel 1970 per raggiungere la velocità di 100 km/h e furono tutte riclassificate
194.5, le 194 252 > 285 diventarono 194 562 > 585.
Dopo il ritiro delle BR 194, le BR 150 ritornarono a prestare servizio sulla linea dal 1987 al 2003 (anno di ritiro delle BR 150),
sostituite a loro volta dalle BR 151.

Le nuove E 50 entrarono in servizio nel 1957 e fino all'estate del 1958 furono anche impiegate sulla neoelettrificata linea dello Spessart, poi sostituite dalle E 94.2. Le macchine utilizzate in spinta erano contrassegnate con un vistoso cartello numerico frontale. (Foto: Dr. Rolf Brüning)

Le BR 150 rimasero nello Spessart fino al 2003, poi sostituite dalle BR 151. |
